Подводим итоги… Все темы 2010 года (январь - май)

Hi guys, here’s what we’ve been going this year so far.

  • 16.01 and 23.01 - Watching “Liar” movie and discussing it in detail.
  • 30.01 - What Music Does To Us. Talking about music styles. Listening to rock, classical and meditative music and discussing what emotions it stirs in us.
  • 06.02. War And Peace. Do we need wars? How can we do wothout them? Military words.
  • Celebrating St Valentine’s day. Fun contests and competitions.
  • Celebrating February, 23rd. Staged performances. The Best Gentleman show.
  • The Amazing Japan. Discussig the differences between Ukrainian and Japanese cultures.
  • The Generation Gap. Family conflicts - their reasons and how to cope with them.
  • Celebrating March, 8th. Contests and funny games prepared and conducted by our boys and gentlemen.
  • Celebrating St Patrick’s Day. Irish traditions. Fun facts about the holidays, games and contests. Paul was present!
  • Easter. British traditions. Gift-giving. Embellished eggs and easter bunnies.
  • Humour In Our Lives. Staging jokes. The weird British humour. Lots of laughter!
  • Holidays. Discussion: what is your ideal holiday? Holiday types. Fun facts.
  • Independence in Relationships. Sharing personal experiences, giving one another advice.
  • If you were me… - what activities would you offer and what topics would you suggest if you were the leader of OSCAR’s Club? - mini-presentations.
  • Our plans for this summer. Where are you going to go? What are you planning to see?
That’s what has happened at OSCAR’s so far. We thoroughly enjoyed the experiences of getting together, sharing opinions and advice, engaging in hot discussions and playing games - all in English. The club has to be closed now for the summer vacations - but I’ll be missing everyone and will be soooo looking forward to seeing all of you in September!
Just a reminder for the future newcomers: the club is free of charge and is open for everyone regardless of whether they study at WAY or not. We meet weekly on Saturdays at 16.00 at school #131. Welcome everyone in the coming academic year!

NEW SONG… ENJOY!

Что-то долго мы не обновляли наш сайтик. Сегодня, вспоминая о недавно прошедшем дне Святого Валентина и только что случившемся 23-м февраля и в ожидании 8-го марта выкладываем текст и ссылку на новую - хотя и старую - песенку в исполнении Sinead O’Connor и Terry Hall:

All Kinds Of Everything.

Уверена - вам она очень понравится. Она простая и милая, и уже вполне весенняя.

Вот немножко об этой песне из Wikipedia:

“All Kinds of Everything” is a song written by Derry Lindsay and Jackie Smith which as performed by Dana won the Eurovision Song Contest 1970. Regarded as one of the stronger Contest entries[citation needed], “All Kinds of Everything” represented a return to the ballad form from the more energetic performances which had dominated Eurovision the previous years. Dana sings about all the things which remind her of her sweetheart, with the admission at the end of every verse that “all kinds of everything remind me of you”. The recording by Dana became an international hit.

Sinéad O’Connor and Terry Hall recorded “All Kinds of Everything” for the 1998 album A Song For Eurotrash; the track was also featured on O’Connor’s 2005 release Collaborations.

> ДВУХРАЗОВЫЕ группы.

Активизируется набор в двухразовые группы: занятия 2 раза в неделю по 1 часу 45 минут (105 минут). Если вы очень заняты - возможно, это подходящий вариант. Просим заметить, что продолжительность курса при двухразовом режиме увеличивается примерно на треть (каждый уровень длится 9 месяцев против 6-ти в группах трехразовых), поскольку объем материала, подлежащего усвоению для перехода на следующий уровень, изменить нельзя (без снижения качества). Зато стоимость каждого месяца занятий ниже. Трехразовые группы работают в полном объеме, как и прежде.

Уважаемые студенты! Если вы когда-либо уже учились в WAY, то для вас в этом учебном году есть СПЕЦИАЛЬНОЕ ПРЕДЛОЖЕНИЕ. У вас есть возможность остаться на старой цене за обучение (300 грн. в мес. для англиичан и немцев, 350 - для остальных языков), ЕСЛИ вы будете платить членские взносы сразу за 3 месяца (т. е., 900 (1050) грн.) Более того, если вы заплатите за 6 месяцев, то для вас будет также действовать скидка 10%. Это значит,что за английский и немецкий вы заплатите не 2088, а 1620 грн. (немцы и англичане), а другие языки - не 2376, а 1890 грн.
