Подводим итоги… Все темы 2010 года (январь - май)

Hi guys, here’s what we’ve been going this year so far.

  • 16.01 and 23.01 - Watching “Liar” movie and discussing it in detail.
  • 30.01 - What Music Does To Us. Talking about music styles. Listening to rock, classical and meditative music and discussing what emotions it stirs in us.
  • 06.02. War And Peace. Do we need wars? How can we do wothout them? Military words.
  • Celebrating St Valentine’s day. Fun contests and competitions.
  • Celebrating February, 23rd. Staged performances. The Best Gentleman show.
  • The Amazing Japan. Discussig the differences between Ukrainian and Japanese cultures.
  • The Generation Gap. Family conflicts - their reasons and how to cope with them.
  • Celebrating March, 8th. Contests and funny games prepared and conducted by our boys and gentlemen.
  • Celebrating St Patrick’s Day. Irish traditions. Fun facts about the holidays, games and contests. Paul was present!
  • Easter. British traditions. Gift-giving. Embellished eggs and easter bunnies.
  • Humour In Our Lives. Staging jokes. The weird British humour. Lots of laughter!
  • Holidays. Discussion: what is your ideal holiday? Holiday types. Fun facts.
  • Independence in Relationships. Sharing personal experiences, giving one another advice.
  • If you were me… - what activities would you offer and what topics would you suggest if you were the leader of OSCAR’s Club? - mini-presentations.
  • Our plans for this summer. Where are you going to go? What are you planning to see?
That’s what has happened at OSCAR’s so far. We thoroughly enjoyed the experiences of getting together, sharing opinions and advice, engaging in hot discussions and playing games - all in English. The club has to be closed now for the summer vacations - but I’ll be missing everyone and will be soooo looking forward to seeing all of you in September!
Just a reminder for the future newcomers: the club is free of charge and is open for everyone regardless of whether they study at WAY or not. We meet weekly on Saturdays at 16.00 at school #131. Welcome everyone in the coming academic year!

03.10.09 My Dear Friends! I missed you so much!!! And we’re all together again! Let’s share our vivid impressions of this summer and make our Club’s party!

10.10.09 – EDUCATION. There’s no doubt that our whole life is total education! So how can we make it easier and much more interesting right now? Well, we can go abroad, we can study here… Who knows, what’s better? Anyway, everything’s in our arms!

24.10.09 – You can’t imagine your life without it!!! It’s one of the most important resources for living! Of course… No doubt! I’m talking about FOOD!!!

21.11.09 – Have you ever thought about the HOUSE of your DREAM? Even if not I propose you to create it right now!!! So we take pink curtains, yellow sofa with small blue pillows, white rugs… Not your style??? Let’s find your own one then!

28.11.09 – RESPONSIBILITY. What are we responsible in our lives for? Is it difficult to accept?

05.12.09 – TRAVELLING to other countries. Ok, you’re abroad! We hope you’re good at orientation!

12.12.09 – BRAIN-RING! Let’s warm up our brains!

The X-mas Party underWAY!

this is how santas come 2 U...Народ - мы уже начали подготовку к традиционнной  Рождественско-Новогодней Party. Эта Патя - 10-я по счету.  Приходите 27 декабря в 17.00 в Сш № 131 (актовый зал).

Что будет?

  • живая музыка
  • танцы с мастер-классами для всех желающих - под эту самую живую музыку
  • конкурсы с призами
  • неповторимый британский юмор
  • (сюр)призы и приятности.
Внимание! Мы приглашаем всех - и тиех, кто учится в WAY, и тех, кто у нас (еще или вообще) не учится. Причем приглашаем с друзьями. Только количество мест все же ограничено размерами помещения, а значит - вход по пригласительным, которые для себя и друзей можно получить в офисе.

Our Speaking Club is a small cosy island of friendship, perception, laugh and happiness in the waves of our constantly changing life.

01.11.2008 - HALLOWEEN!!! So, what’s going to happen right there? You’re going to be greeted and invited by your club devil leaders in a Halloween World of magic, fantasy and mystery… As always there are going to be lots of funny games, role-plays and interesting discussions. There is a great possibility for you to find out something new about Halloween and to re-discover this special day from new perspectives. And so, you are devilishly welcome!!!

08.11.2008 - PERSONAL PSYCHOLOGY! Are you interested in discovering and learning about yourself? If so, then it’s the right time for you to come to our Speaking Club! At our friendly meeting we discuss the existing problems in personal approach to the psychology in general and the various opportunities for self-development in particular. It’s common nowadays for a lot of people to want to know more about themselves, but sadly, it’s rather seldom that this knowledge is used in every-day life… Yet, we are here to gain experience, so don’t let this chance pass by you!

15.11.2008 - TPAVELLING! Ohhhh! What can be more exciting and amazing than travelling to other countries? A lot of interesting impressions, new friends, new culture, new feelings – every moment of your life is marvellous! So, Speaking Club welcomes you to an adventurous travel over the world!

22.11.2008 – JOB, STRESS AND THE EXISTING WAYS TO AVOID STRESSFUL SITUATIONS! I think, this topic is of great interest for everybody because of our totally stormy life nowadays. So, let’s just talk about it!!!

29.11.2008 - ASTROLOGY AND THE STARS’ INFLUENCE! Do you believe in astrology? Do you follow its pieces of advice? At our Speaking Club we are going to find out and discuss the reasons and consequences of stars’ influence and horoscopes as a whole! It’s going to be definitely very interesting! Be sure!

У нас появился новый - третий - вышеупомянутый носитель языка. Английского языка носитель, причем хорошо подвешенного. Зовут, повторяем, Джейсон, и кроме субботнего клуба  он появляется на занятиях общего курса по расписанию (раз в 2 недели). Волосы до таллии, ковбойско-рокерская шляпа с полями, шарм и обаяние + сертификат преподавателя English’a.

happy birthday

  1. Изменены размеры членских взносов (ЦЕНЫ). Жмите сюда.
  2. Начинает работать БЛОГ WAY. В смысле, теперь широкая публика может на него попасть. Пока он в разработке, и многие ссылки не работают. Часть страниц с нашего сайта постепенно переезжает на блог, и вы сможете оставлять свои комментарии и задавать любые вопросы. Добро пожаловать! Можно пока посмотреть новый фотоальбом и почитать о методике (детальное описание) - это готово полностью.
  3. В этом году клубу-школе WAY исполняется 10 лет. Happy birthday to us!
  4. Мы начинаем “test-drive” нового English учебника - Face2face.  В случае успешной обкатки этого курса мы возьмем его основным. Пока по нему будет заниматься всего несколько групп.

С корпоративными клиентами мы работаем уже много лет.

Обычно такие группы занимаются 2 раза в неделю по 1 - 1,5 - 2 астрономических часа. Мы адаптируем общий курс или бизнес-курс под конкретные нужды таких групп (техническая лексика, коммуникация в офисе, выезд за рубеж на конференции и т. д.) и проводим занятия на территории заказчика.

Обязательно предварительное тестирование для формирования групп (обычно 4-12 чел.) по уровням, причем, в отличие от обычных наших групп , для корпоративных клиетов можно произвести более тонкую градацию (например, 3 подуровня Elementary). Членский взнос такой группы (корпоративного члена нашего клуба - см. рубрику ЧАВО о безналичном расчете) - от 1600 грн. в месяц (за группу), в зависимости от режима занятий. 1600 грн. вы платите за занятия 2 раза в неделю по 120 минут.
